Model 1917 - 1918 US Trench Knife by L.F. & C.

A rare American trench knife manufactured  by the Landers Frary & Clark. Stamped on the front of the guard is US L.F. & C. 1917. Walnut grips with a  guard of pyramidal knobs. Triangular blade  9" long all blued. Comes with the original Leather scabbard marked M.S. on the top and bottom of the metal fittings and H.L. on the throat. Blade slides nicely into the scabbard. Brass belt hook has been cut, probably at the time. Stamped JEWELL-1918 in the leather. . In great condition for age.
