Name Engraved WW1 Imperial Prussian M1889 Pattern Infantry Officers Sword

M1889 Prussian infantry Officers sword engraved on the top part of the scabbard KARL RASCH 4 ES. Sword in nice condition through out. Blade clean and scabbard with no dents or dings and original paint. Attached with original leather hanging strap Folding gilded basket hilt displays the Prussian eagle. Wire intact around grip. With monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Maker marked on blade Clemen & Jung, Solingen

According to the research Karl Rasch was a commissioned officer 4th squadron of the Life Guards Hussars of Potsdam. He served 13 years as a Lieutenant of the reserves. He served in an accountancy roll and was the recipient of two awards. Silver Jubilee Medal of the Wurttemberg Red Cross and the Prussian General Honor Decoration. The casualty list August 1918 of those killed or died from the previous month and from the German war graves that LT Rasch died 6 July 1918.
