The Welch Regiment (historically spelled "The Welsh") was a south Wales infantry regiment of the British Army that existed as an independent unit from 1881 until 1969. It was formed by merging two historic units: the 41st (Welch) Regiment of Foot and the 69th (South Lincolnshire) Regiment of Foot.
