The Duke of Wellington's Regiment (West Riding), often simply called the "Dukes," was a line infantry regiment of the British Army with over 300 years of history. Primarily recruiting from the West Riding of Yorkshire, it earned the famous nickname the "Havercake Lads" after the traditional oatcakes once used to entice recruits.
