The Burma Star is a British military campaign medal established in May 1945 to honor the service of British and Commonwealth forces in the Burma Campaign during World War II. It covers the period between 11 December 1941 and 2 September 1945

The Medal: A six-pointed star made of a yellow copper-zinc alloy. The front displays the Royal Cipher "GRI VI" with a crown above it and "THE BURMA STAR" inscribed around the center.

The Ribbon: Features dark blue bands representing naval forces, a red central band for Commonwealth Armies, and orange stripes symbolizing the sun.

The Reverse: Generally plain for British forces, while those for Australian, Indian, and South African personnel often included recipient details.
