The 15th/19th The King's Royal Hussars was an armoured cavalry regiment of the British Army, active from 1922 to 1992.
Formation: Created on April 11, 1922, by the amalgamation of the 15th The King's Hussars (raised 1759) and the 19th Royal Hussars (raised 1858).
World War II: Served as a reconnaissance unit. After losing its equipment at Dunkirk in 1940, it later deployed to Normandy in 1944 with the 11th Armoured Division, fighting through Northwest Europe into Germany.
Post-War Service: Deployed to Palestine, Malaya, Oman, and Cyprus
