The Rhodesian Army Guard Force was the fourth and largest arm of the Rhodesian Security Forces during the Rhodesian Bush War, primarily established to provide static defense for "protected villages" and later for key infrastructure. Formally established on February 1, 1976, it was disbanded in May 1980 following the country's transition to black majority rule as Zimbabwe.
