The Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment was an infantry regiment of the British Army that had three of its battalions see active service during the Second World War: the 1st, 2nd, and 5th Battalions. Other battalions (6th, 7th, 2/7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th) were raised for home defence or to supply trained infantrymen as reinforcements for the active battalions.
